IT Support Engineer (Singapore)

  • Installing, configuring and maintain firewall, servers and networks
  • Accountable for network setup, annual server maintenance
  • Overseeing system performance, alerts and troubleshooting issues
  • Performing system upgrades following new releases
  • Maintaining internal documentation and policies
  • Sustaining network integrity, server deployment, and security
  • Monitoring and maintaining network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways and intrusion detection systems; and
  • Ensuring high-level security and efficiency resulting in 100% output.
  • Daily CCTV checks and performance
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
  • Backup initiation, reports and transported to offsite location (Certis CISCO) for safe-keeping
  • Executing vulnerability assessment remedial action
  • Provide user training, support, advice and feedback
  • Work closely with vendors for equipment maintenance
  • Assist with external auditors during IT Audits, OSPAR etc.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery Hands-on experience with Firewall/Switches
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex & basic technical issues
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
  • Fortigate & Palo Alto knowledge will be a plus
  • Financial & MAS compliance requirements will be a plus
